So this morning, I bumped mirrors with a parked truck. My mirror folded into the side glass and the mirror lens was knocked loose. The electrical still works, or at least the turn signal does. It looks like the mirror lens could snap back onto the plastic mount. I held it in place and put some pressure on it but no-go. Not sure if I did not put enough pressure. Has anyone popped the mirror lens loose before? I have a 17 CM Platinum.

All finger clips still in tact? They clip around back base

With a closer look, I think the tabs on back of lens may have broken.

Looks to me like the glass separated from the base that it is glued to.

Got a picture of just the back side of the glass?

The first picture is the back of the lens. It is two pieces of plastic that are separated.

Well, crisis averted. I went home for lunch, and after realizing that glue and other adhesives on hand were not up for a quick fix, I started trying to see if something on the bracket would grab and hold. I guess I hit a new position because with less pressure than earlier the mirror clicked into place. I adjusted it a few times and that worked. Hopefully it is fixed and will still be attached after a few potholes.

Thanks for the post Slowpoke. I had the exact issue today and your comment about finding the right position and requiring less pressure worked for me as well. I hope it holds!
