My 7th DIY oil change so these are pretty routine... but when I unscrewed the oil fill cap a small movement caught my eye. Turns out it was the rubber cap gasket dropping off and under the engine beauty cover. Luckily it remained where I could see it and pull it out with a pair of needle nose pliers without having to pull the beauty cover. No idea how or why it came loose like that, it seems like it was sticking to the fill tube for some reason. Just keep an eye this when you pull the cap.

On a side note, I captured a sample to send to Blackstone for analysis. It'll be interesting to see how at 31k miles this compares to the one I had back at 11k.
