Hey, so for you fools with the M12 3/8 Milwaukee ratchet...

I wasn't even considering the 3/8 impact rachet cuz I didn't want to spin the heads off of shit that maybe doesn't need so much torque... are the impact version of these things torque adjustable via setting or something, or are you guys just trying to feather the switch during light duty use???

    Serious questions :D

I got the chance to tour the Milwaukee Tool R&D and Testing facility this fall when I was back there for some work business. I've previously toured the DeWalt one about 5 years ago as well.
I'm not allowed to say anything specific about what I saw at either of them, but I left Milwaukee thoroughly impressed and amazed at some of the stuff they are doing.

Yes it does have different modes. But it's all in the trigger control for me. It has a lot of ass but not as much as the 3/8 mid torque impact. Now if you don't want a ton of torque the regular M12 ratchet is not got alot of torque but you can finish the torque with that tool at the end manually. It allows for it. It will also work when removing a nut or bolt. If it doesn't have enough ass you can give it a pull with the ratchet to get it loosened to the point that the tool can take over. Hope this helps.

The impact ratchet has four drive modes, similar to impact guns. The standard 3/8 ratchet just has a variable speed trigger.

I have the M12 Propress and it’s a great tool to have in the arsenal. Before I bought it, I rented it from my local plumbing supply house for $100 and realized its convenience. Between the M12 press and Ridgid C1 actuator/jaws, it’s like a $3k investment.

I don't know if you noticed the only non red box Vevor in my last post but this thing is awesome, 1/2" up to 2". Really nice price compared to the old Ridged the plumbing dept has, and much nicer to use.

Excellent, now I know what to take when I break into your house(s), don't necessary need to take the Tundra, actually, might need to, but to haul away this full garage-load of tools is on the top of my list.
Forget the money in the house, those tools are worth their weight in gold.

The important question, were you less impressed, just as impressed or more impressed with the DeWalt facility?

I love my Milwaukee power tools. I have some hand tools as well. I just want to tell you NEVER, NEVER, NEVER buy a Milwaukee tape measure. That is the biggest piece of shit. They HAD to have purposely made it that shitty. There is no way it could be that shitty by accident.:frusty::der:

There were some things at DW I saw that were impressive. But the testing and R&D at MKE was at another level to me.
