4 miles on the odometer when I picked up the truck. Dealer put gas in it prior to me picking it up.

    Interesting to hear about others.

In today's car market you should never see more than 10 miles on the odometer when picking up a brand new vehicle. Unless.. its been on countless test rides for whatever reason Lol.

I had 3 after picking it up. Apparently they had to drive it that much to "turn on" the safety features

Same here. Picked up a Limited DC Lunar Rock TRD OR that someone had cancelled. I only waited three weeks for it. Two miles on it, they filled up with gas and cleaned. Love it. Much superior in driving experience to my 2013 DC TRD. Vancouver WA Toyota.

Mine had 5k. It was a dealer demo. It was on the only Tundra on the lot and available and had everything I wanted. I chose to take it instead of waiting who knows how long for a like model to arrive. And I received a full tank of gas.

300..back in February when there was a bit more inventory. Dealer had a 7k MA and I think that's why it hadn't sold. Took it on a test drive and we filled it up with premium, drove it home after.

Hope you're not wasting your money on premium now that you're buying the gas.

    1. Because I want to
    2. Because I have a JB4
    3. I mix E85 and 91 for an E40 blend and run the appropriate tune.

With a forced induction 10.4:1 compression ratio, I'm confident that the higher octane helps take advantage of any timing the ecu can throw at it. Regardless if it comes from the E85 or Premium gas

How is the JB4? Are you moving your fuel 50/50? I'm just curious cause, I may get the JB4 eventually. Can you tell a difference with it?

    Because https://daptuning.com/faqs

"As we have reported with every truck we have tested on, 4.6L, 4.7L, 5.7L, all run best on 91+ octane whether they are completely stock with stock tune, or tuned. These engines pull 8-12 degrees of timing due to knock retard on 87 oct, 6-10 deg on 89oct, 2-6 deg on 91oct, and 0-2deg on 93oct. That is on a completely stock truck with factory tune.

If you care about the engine in your $35,000-$65,000 truck as you think you do, you wont run anything but premium in it weather you are tuned or not tuned.

Mine only had 177,000 miles when I picked it up. It was legitimately in amazing condition. Looked brand new. I recently did my first oil change on it after driving it 5k miles on the oil that was in it when I bought it. The old oil came out only slightly darker than the new oil I was putting in. And there was an Amsoil filter in the filter housing. I also found 14 years of oil change records in the glove box when I took the truck on a test drive.

I'm pretty confident the previous owners babied the hell out of my truck and stuck meticulously to the preventative maintenance. As long as I can manage to do half as well as they did, I'm sure I'll get another 200k or more easy.
