Mileage for trans fluid flush/ replacement

At what mileage do most changed their fluid just for maintenance? My 21 Tundra is at 32K and my 19 Highlander is at 37K. Both run fine.

 

I like every 30k miles on the Tundra...

I ask as I have seen many complain on other forums about shuttering and shifting issues after a fluid flush. Looking to keep my truck for a long time so want to swap when and if necessary at the appropriate time.

 

Do not do a flush, just do a drain and fill of the pan, about 4qts.

We did one on the Sequoia at 120k miles and no issues. That being said, there's logic behind why you shouldn't do it once you hit 100k and never serviced the trans.

 

Full fluid exchange every 75k. Still good to go at 250k

 

I'm that guy...over 200k and never serviced the trans. For what it's worth I haul over capacity every day and just completed a 1800 mile trip, truck shifts great and has never missed a beat.

There is an incalculable amount of value in having members who do not keep up on maintenance. You guys demonstrate what the truck is truly capable of. Unforunately, 99% of the members on this site will not fit that image.

It was never intended to be this way, but my first interval was ~25k (when I added a cooler) and I've since fallen into an annual schedule, just like the rear diff (~10k miles, mostly heavy towing). Every time I have needed to crack the system open for any reason I've just done a drain/fill. I did a full 12 qt exchange when the cooler was installed to help flush the new hardware. Even before going forced injection I've been all over this specific maintenance because I don't want to strand myself and the family over something I could help avoid.

This made me laugh. 1) it's fun enough and 2) it's become a nearly dedicated tow vehicle since 2020, which is cool by me.

 

I'd vote for 30k, I went pretty much no transmission maintenance for 270K before it started complaining. I'm on my 2nd interval.

 

I have a 2016 Tundra. I bought used in 2019.
It had at that time 21,470 miles on it.
Now it has 62,000 plus miles.
I am not sure if the fluid has been changed.
I have been thinking getting it done along with the differential fluid changed.
