    Hey guys,

Recently purchased a brand new set of Method Grid in 18x9+18 wrapped in brand new BFG K02s 34x12.5x18.

Long story short, the tires have been road force balanced 3 times by 2 different shops. Alignment also done. I have taken the wheels on and off myself many times trying my best to center the wheels on the hub, torqued to spec. Steering still shakes starting around 50-55mph. It happens on and off and seems to switch from the steering wheel shaking to the back seat shaking. Needless to say, im at my wits end on this, and starting to chalk this up as a hub centric issue. Tire shop confirmed tires are not out of round, and wheels are straight. Not sure what to do from this point - aside from buying new wheels that ARE hub centric, or buying new tires to try.

Question is this - those running these wheels, are you having the same issues with steering shake?

    Lost track after #1.
No issues with mine, but I'm running Nitto Ridge Grappler tires (35x12.5x18). Might be the BFG's. I hear they're tough to balance.

I have hub centric Method Con 6 wheels and BFG tires. I had the shake at the exact same speeds. Balanced them 3 times before it was fixed. Ended up having to use the "hammer on" style weights on the inside lip in addition to the stick ons. I know my set up is different, but it cant hurt to let your tire shop try.

What is your lift? I thought we've also read on here an issue with certain lifts and driveline angles causing a shake. Raptors come stock with K02s so that can't be that big of an issue with balancing

No lift, stock everything (TRD Pro). Tires have already been road force balanced 3 times. Tire shop said they are as best as he can do, and he put the better ones in the front. I also bought a set of 5, and the best 4 are on the truck, according to the tire guy.

The stock raptor tires would be smaller than these i think? likely easier to balance? not sure, just guessing.

I’ve ran bfg’s for years. Always had good luck w them. Last set I had, one would not balance. Ended up getting rid of that truck, last GM I’ll own too.
Have coopers now, will stick w that brand now.
Go back to tire shop and see if they’ll change out the 1 or 2 that won’t balance.
Problem is probably not wit the wheel.

I've had similar issues with my 35" BFG K02's, they've been hell to balance.

It's not the wheels... it's the tires.

made an appointment for Tuesday next week to have them balanced again. If that doesnt do the trick, new tires will be going on to test that. If new tires doesnt fix it, PART OUT ;)

If it’s discount tire they’ll let you swap them out or even change brands.

The Raptors are pretty much running 35s. I think is 315/70/18, whatever is almost identical to the 35

    Fifteen52 wheels, rolling on tires.
So, what ending up happening? Did the shaking finally quit?

What are they considering out of round?
For a car tire I consider out of round if it has over 20 pounds of road force. For a truck tire it's 40 pounds.

Are you running extended thread lug nuts with the wheels?

Still shaking. Going to try to get rid of the whole setup shortly here. 5 wheels + 4 tires. Go to 17's, 35's, and something hubcentric.
Anyone know where the good black friday deals are on wheels?

Just got 18x9 Methods wrapped in 265/70/r18 Falken Wildpeak and I’m experiencing the same exact issue. Been balanced been road forced.
