Does anyone know how to get the album picture to show up when playing a Bluetooth song on a Kenwood stereo. Title name of song comes up but no picture.

It’s gonna depend on the model you have and the source app on your phone. If you’re playing straight MP3s from your phone storage, it’s probably going to have to have the album cover stored locally on your phone, or your head unit would need the Gracenote database info loaded. Most apps like Spotify or YouTube Music stream that as part of their service.

I have the Kenwood DDX1057XR, the mp3's are stored on my phone. I see the album art on the phone. I guess it would make sense about the gracenote, because the stock has that software.

Google has a few threads that might help. This one talks about the album art dimensions needing to be a specific ratio, so that might be a good place to start looking. It’s on an Android Auto forum but the fix refers to someone using an SD card. https://support.google.com/androidauto/thread/8525663/how-do-i-get-album-art-on-my-kenwood-head-using-bluetooth-or-android-auto-used-to-have-it-not-now?hl=en

Another thread mentions artwork showing when using USB instead of Bluetooth, and another talks about some file formats working more consistently than others (jpeg > png). I don’t play me music this way though so can’t help much with troubleshooting. Hope you find an answer.

So what I have found out, is that the metadata does not show on Bluetooth but it will show on Android auto. So I think it's the ldac that's causing the issue.
