Pretty much stock at this point, but just getting started.
I have a 2017 Limited Crewmax that I have just purchased this summer. Haven't gotten around to a lot of upgrades yet, but it is in dire need of some new tires before winter. Once it's lifted (thinking anywhere from 3.5" to 6"), I plan on running some 35x12.50R22's during the summer & my stocks in the winter. I don't want it to look to strange when running the stocks, so wondering how big a tire I could currently fit (pre-lift) that will still look okay when it's raised. Was thinking maybe 33x12.50R20's with 1.5" spacers. What do y'all think?

33x1250s are wide, add spacers and you will have contact - wheel liner, maybe body mount, front bumper. Those issues can be addressed however.

If you are running stock wheels you can fit 275/70-18 or 285/70-18 on a stock truck, no lift with no fuss. If you address some of the rubbing on plastics, you should be able to fit 295/70-18 on a stock truck.

Check out the suspension and wheel/tire forums here for tons of good info, pics, setups, etc. Use this tool to better understand metric LT tire sizes vs inches

Thanks for the heads up. My limited has the machined 20" wheels on it, so won't be doing any 18's. Thought that by adding the spacer I may have a little more room to move...no? According to the tiresize.com calculator, I'm only adding 1.1" in overall diameter & obviously 1.7" in width.
