I have a 2012 Tundra. It did not come with a tailgate lock. Is there a manual tailgate lock (with a key) available to replace the current tailgate latch?

Didn't know that was even a thing.

So there isn't even a hole to insert a key??

If yours doesn't, I imagine any latch mechanism from an SR5 trim and up will have a lockable latch

Now that I think about it, you would probably need the handle mechanism along with a tailgate specific (this lock cylinder only uses like half the key) lock cylinder, with assorted tumblers/wafers to match with your existing key.

With all of this in mind, if you happen to have keyless entry, it would probably be easier to install an aftermarket auto-locks retrofit to lock/unlock with the rest of the doors. Might even be cheaper to upgrade the whole truck to aftermarket keyless than to upgrade just the handle with Toyota parts.
