Making upgrades need input

    So this is what I have and what I do:

    I tow a 29’ 7400GVW / 605 on tongue travel trailer about 8 times a year. I have a WDH and it sits fairly level, but the ride isn’t super smooth.

    I also use the rig off-road on my deer lease. Road vs off-road miles are 1000-1, maybe a bit less.

    I am putting 285/75r 18s on, which should need a short lift, under 3”.

    what I want to know is what type of suspension would be best considering my applications? Would airbags benefit more than an additional leaf? Would 6112/5160s be better than blocks and shackles? Asking here as I figure to get a informed perspective on the towing.

    I'm still doing my research on different types of lifts for the Tundras myself. But I believe airbags will not give you any additional lift so you would have to use a block or add a leaf to get the lift you want. That said when I added air bags to my 2014 Tacoma (previous truck before Tundra) they made a huge difference in how to truck handled pulling a trailer. The ride was firm, but the rear end felt much more in control and stable. I would have to assume it would work the same way with a Tundra also.
    The only downside I found to installing the airbags was the ride without a trailer was sometimes bouncy depending on the terrain I was driving on. This may not be an issue with the Tundra because it is a heavier truck.

    Also are you sure your WDH is setup correctly? The reason I say that is I have a Equal-i-zer WDH for my Tundra and I seem to still be tweaking it even after multiple uses to get it setup so the rear of the truck doesn't squat and so towing the TT doesn't beat me to death on bumpy roads.

    Thanks for the reply.

    The WDH is set up correctly, the rear of the truck doesn't squat.

    I guess I wasn't very clear - currently the rig tows pretty well, but I know it could be smoother. I am doing mods to make the rig better off-road, rims/tires/suspension. I want to make sure I take into account towing when making the rig better suited to go off-road.
