Just purchased 2023 Tundra 1794 this week, first Toyota I have owned. Going thru maintenance manual and Carfax and just trying to make sure there is nothing special I maybe missing. Most maintenance will be completed by local Toyota dealer to maintain the warranty but anything I can do on my own (air filters, etc) would like to know what has been good for others and if there are any hidden things I should watch out for. Any recommendations for Leather clean and care, fuel conditioners, car wash, etc. Thanks in advance.

This warranty? Factory warranty or some additional extended warranty? If the former, you do not need to go to the dealer for maintenance work as long as you can reasonably prove you did the maintenance yourself or had another shop do it.

The last 15 years I have done and learned a lot about the warranty coverage's thanks to FORD and the absurd amount of repairs. I have already called the warranty company and discussed everything with them to make sure I am following their rules. I always save the receipts, enter the information and upload the receipts on Carfax. The warranty said they were mainly concerned about the oil and transmission changes but I know better. They will look for anything to DQ you, so I follow the Warranty and Maintenance Guide provided by manufacturer.

Welcome to the family, lol. I have a maintenance schedule I put together in Excel to make remembering easier, if you want a copy, let me know. Few things:
    - The interior is likely not full leather. They typically state leather trimmed. After some looking, all fingers point to Toyota leather trimmed meaning the seating surface and back rest are leather, possibly the bolsters, everything else is not. Not surprising, other car makers have been doing the same for many many years.
    - Air Filters are an easy swap.
    - Oil changes are another easy diy item if you are up for it. I would recommend 5k oil changes, not 10k.
    - Any PH neutral car wash will be safe and should do the job as needed. Are there plenty of other things to look for, sure, but if you’re not a detail nut you can find suitable ones most anywhere.
    - And lastly, dont forget to change out the air in your tires every summer/winter, a definite must-do.

You don't need to go to a dealer to maintain a factory warranty. You do have to be well kept in record keeping to cover yourself should you need warranty coverage.

Sorry, misread your post, my bad.

Saw on YouTube for cabin and engine air filters and bookmarked them in Amazon for future purchase. Knew about the partial leather just not sure if someone here had a good recommended cleaner for it. Dealer recommended BG for fuel additive but I am coming from a Diesel so not sure about this brand. I am going with dealer for oil changes, and tire rotations, they thru it in the package. I can also buy the lifetime alignment which I am going to get. Would be great to see your maintenance schedule to compare it to what I have seen, thanks for offer. The schedule shows every 5K but I found on the truck OOD button shows the wrench with almost 10K miles and counts down - assume that is for maintenance schedule cause it matches up to the last oil change mileage. Book says 5K, truck says 10K. Obviously doing 5K for warranty.

The book says 10k intervals for oil changes, not 5k. Plenty of people do 5k oil changes, but officially (except for "extreme use cases") Toyota says 10k.

5k is not needed for warranty coverage, 10k is. If your dealer told you otherwise, they are lying to you. Also, hopefully you purchased the ToyotaCare Plus, and not a dealer-specific oil change program (unless it was really inexpensive); ToyotaCare Plus will cover all services for the duration of the term you choose (up to 5yr/75k miles) and is pretty inexpensively priced

The oil change was my mistake. The Carfax website says 5K but the Warranty and Maintenance Guide shows 10K. I only got the oil change / tire rotation (checked prices before so it was a good deal) still had some warranties, dealership gives Lifetime and I got the extended.

I don’t waste my time inputting work I’ve done into carfax. I did that and later found out when you sell the vehicle, all the work you did to input that into carfax gets deleted lol. Carfax is a joke. The only thing that stays in carfax is what the dealer inputs or other recognized shops input
