Good afternoon, I’m a new Tundra guy. Before posted I looked around the forums for the needed information.

I recently purchased a 2012 Tundra TRD 4x4 from a friend. It’s got approximately 105,000 miles on it and been well take care of

This is a two part question,

    1)

I’m looking to do the following services.

    Cooling system service
Fluid replacement front / rear differential.
    Transmission service
    Respect spark plugs
    Replace radiator hoses

A local ( Southern California) Toyota dealership quoted me $2600 for the above, a local mechanic quoted me $1300.

    2) what other services should I perform on this truck?

You should do all that yourself; cut that expenditure in half, at least, again.

Get Denso Iridium plugs. Lube the driveshaft. Change transfer case fluid. Check the spare. Check the water pump.

None of this is hard. It's all been done before. Drive up to MN and I'll help you out!

you can do all that yourself for probably 1/3 of the mechanics price.

I know I can save money doing it myself however time is my problem. I was asking to see if $1300 is a fair price?

It wouldnt be for me, but compared to the dealer it is. It all comes down to how much you value your time really.

Bigger question is do you trust the mechanics?

I wouldn’t worry about radiator hoses at 100k miles get the brake pads and rotors checked
