    Question for anybody with a Magnetic Phone Holder...

    I was looking at either getting the Scosche Magic Mount or the Proclip Mount... but I have a few concerns...

    With the metal plate you put on the back of your device to stick it to the mount does it interfere with your wireless charging? I know with most phones the wireless charging piece is in the center of the phone, so if you put the plate on the bottom part of your phone will you be able to use wireless charging still? and because the plate is now on the bottom instead of center mass have you had any issues with the phone falling off? due to imbalance of location on magnet?

    I use the Steelie Ball phone mount which does not use a magnetic plate behind the dash. It adheres to the dash and only the ball is magnetized.

    @BayRunner

    The plate that goes on your phone isn't actually magnetic only the dash piece is. The metal plate is actually "interferes" with the wireless charging.

    But I do like your setup which iPhone is that? I know that the newer iPhones have wireless charging so not sure if you have tried it or not.

    The small mounting "dish" that attaches to the phone is also magnetized. Mine is a n iPhone 7 plus. I do not use wireless charging so do not know if there would be any interference.

    That must be for the steelie then, I did watch a video and saw that the "dish" was able to stick by itself. For the scosche and proclip that is not the case.
