When I am accelerating at highway speeds I can feel the truck making a lunging motion as if I'm throttling the accelerator.

Ive heard of running a car in 2nd gear for a mile on the highway to burn out any buildup. Is it possible the injectors are a little gummed up after 13 years? Carbon on the valves?

    Timing belt ever been replaced?
