Everytime I'm in my wife's 4runner, it makes the Tundra felt like it was put together on a Friday afternoon right before long weekend.

Spooky lol, but I seriously wanna go 37s.

I feel the same way when I jump in my 17 year old Tacoma with 300,000 miles on it.

I actually wanted to buy a brand new 4Runner ORP in Lunar Rock, but my wife argued I should buy another truck even though I am keeping the Tacoma for "truck shit".

So wanting to make sure I got something equally dependable, I hunted down a low mile V8. Having the Tundra for a couple weeks makes me wish I had fought harder.

Got good news on my 4runner pro. My dealer had 2 SO coming in. The one before mine the guy backed out because of his trade in not happy what they were giving him. My sales man called me and said I get first crack at it since I’m waiting for mine. So I’m getting it early this week.

Almost got a Raptor, almost........ but something about this truck, I don't know what it is, I'm certain this truck is a female and has attitude.

one word, supercharger, once it's on it feels like it was meant for it, everything suddenly makes sense, Mustang GT suddenly seems like a moving road obstacle, merging traffic while towing 10k lbs doesn't require planning, I was so tempted by Raptor's road demeanor but the 3.5tt felt slow in comparison.

Congrats! too bad they didn't make a color matching cooler for SO, it would've been so slick.

Yeah if I did not have a very fast car for a toy the 4runner would be getting the supercharger added. It don’t bother me that’s it’s not that fast.

General rule of thumb: Not very smart to trade a Toyota for a Ford (tried to explain that to my sons who traded their Tacoma and Tundra for Raptors recently!) and this truck feels like it has so much power already but its nice to know that the supercharger is an option should the day come that I no longer feel that way…

A supercharged 4runner has similar power as a Braptor, cooler looking and less douchey! I think Harrops even has a TVS1900 kit for it.

I've always modified my cars, none ever stay stock, thankfully my wife has interest in cars and always had interesting cars, but generally she frown on engine mods but this is the only time she goes: "it makes sense, it's meant for it".

I do aim to be able to capture some of Raptor's ride and comfort sooner rather than later.

What are you planning on doing to capture the ride and comfort?

    Off my head:
    - Billet LCA and Billet spindle
    - converting rear to Camburg performance kit, I really don't want to cut into the bed.
    - I'll have to rely on experts to help with shocks, I think may change to Kings 3.0 front and 3.0 bypass rear.
    - Switch to forged 17" wheels, I've narrowed down to 2 and both are around 20lbs each
    - Switch to BFG KO2 37s with the 116 C load, aka Raptor spec to give that cushy ride.

Probably squeeze in smaller pulley + injectors + pump at the same time, and if it doesn't work, well then I'll have to explain to my wife why I'm an idiot.

Dang. Diving right in. Was just wondering as I think king 3.0s are my next move too (coming from fox 2.5s). Can’t wait to see what you do next. Thank you.

Funny how that works eh, I'm also on Fox 2.5 DSC, feels great compare to OEM Pro suspension but after driving a Raptor you go, wow, that is SO much better.

I've even thought about buying a raptor frame and cut it up and merge into Tundra's frame, but then was quickly reminded that I have no skills nor time, and no budget for that.

I’m posting this in the LunaRock post because I sold mine to Erik and I know he is enjoying the truck. I’m glad I had 2 and half years to enjoy that truck. But I know it’s in good hands. Lol. And there will be times I will miss it. And also always enjoyed chatting with everyone on here. I picked up my new ride yesterday and really enjoy being back in the 4runner. You cannot go wrong with either vehicle all depends on your needs. I’m always on all 3 forums because I enjoy it. And get to learn a lot from doing mods. So I’m being patient before they start in the new vehicle. Lol.

I know this is LR club thread but don't think you can just pop in and not share a pick of your new ride!

Don sold me a perfect truck and I am enjoying it.

Ok now you mentioned it. Don’t won’t to step on anyone’s toes! Lol. This is tundra site. Just joking. You will think I’m all anal. This is how I drove it home to protect the front before it goes in to get a track wrap package on it.
