What’s the lowest I can crank down these shocks? I was leveled but I’ll be towing so I want to lower them for natural rake in the back. Has anyone brought them back down to stock height or close to?

Doesn't look like you have much room left to lower but hard to see from that angle.

That’s how it looks leveled, it’s just the angle. I just wanted to see who has done it cuz I have read people say you can’t take them down to no lift but I’ve read people say you can because they are from king for 0 to 3 inch lift.

I assume you would use a punch and start turning the collar, but then that would just pre-load the springs.

I broke their tool trying to adjust the collar...
At least it's off the truck.
I think you can turn it all the way up. Maybe leave 2 threads showing ?
KIng factory settings they come with 8 to 10 threads showing iirc

the ride should be even better with almost no pre load.

@pvn.beluga yes your turn the collar to add lift or decrease lift. @TheBeast yea I’m trying to confirm if anyone had crank them to zero lift or close to, guess I’ll try and let everyone know

I've seen it done on 4Runner and Tacomas. I say go for it.

Anyone here have their Kings set at 3 inch travel? Maxed out? Trying to see if there's a big difference between 2.5 inch vs 3 inch

You can certainly lower the front end down by reducing preload. The issue we've encountered with Tacomas are the spring lengths are too long to get the lift height down to actually 0" of lift or to stock height. I cannot confirm how low you can go, but you can certainly reduce preload a lot from what I can see

Are you just looking for photos?

Just a suggestion, keep those coilover's at a max of 23.66" in length at ride height. Any taller and you may have the shock nearly maxed out resulting in poor ride quality. https://accutuneoffroad.com/oem-front-coilover-shock-setup/

Thank you @AccuTune Offroad, unfortunately a shop I thought was good recently did some work on my truck and this is what they did. I should have lowered the shocks myself. Both D and P side shocks the nut where you loosen to turn the collar is shot, smh. For those in CA, the shop is in Hesperia called Aztecha Revolution Offroad, don’t go there. They told me they would order me new collars for both shocks, until that order is received and they fix my shocks I will change my view but as of right now I will tell people don’t go there. The tech should have said something about it, I did my own inspection and found the problem, poor customer service, they never said sorry too or felt bad about their screw up.

Ouch! That coilover was definitely adjusted while on the truck. This is one of many reason we suggest removing the coilover and putting it in a spring compressor. I would encourage you to have them replace those preload nuts if they are able to, which is also a concern. Replacing those is not easy, and requires to the shock to disassembled pretty extensively. Shoot us a message if you have questions about the specifics. Below is a photo of the spring compressor we use in the shop just about every 30 minutes, every day of the week.

ouch...yep..they adjusted it like a Tacoma...and that doesn't cut it for a Tundra. Best is to remove the coilover as recommended by accutune
might as well get a tune from Accutune if you send the Kings to them ;)

@TheBeast yup, I might as well tune it for towing while they have it. This is probably where the adjusters would’ve been good to have, stiffen up the ride when towing then back to regular when I don’t tow.
