Hello guys I just got a 06 tundra. 93000 miles. Can’t find where the timing was changed. When is it due? And I want to lower it 3” front 5”rear. Can’t find a kit. All I can find is a 2/3.5 drop. Any help would be great thank you all

Timing belt on the 2uz V8 is every 90K or 6 years.

Not a huge deal honestly about $1000 every 100k but that includes new coolant, water pump, belts, tensioners, thermostat, hoses. Could be worse.

    Was your taco a 4 banger? I thought the 3.4 v6 were a belt?

The gen 1 tundra doesn’t have much space between the top of the spring pack and frame in the back. So you’re looking at custom c notch to lower 5 inches. Market is too small for anyone to develop that involved of a kit.

It’s a great motor! I HAD it in my 05 taco, plenty of power paired with a 5 speed!

    Work in progress...
I just purchased another Tundra... 267K miles, ORIGINAL TIMING BELT and all that goes along with it! Previous owner (original) just figured if it broke, she would just buy a new truck... sold it to me (2500.00) because she didn't want to deal with rusted out rear end cover... 05 Access Cab Limited, with Stepside bed. Just did the timing belt friday... it was original... engine had never been opened!

    Hmmm, I sense deleted posts...

Anyways, if you found a kit that does 2/3.5 drop, that's probably what you're stuck with unless you start cutting/welding/fabbing. There's a few vids out there of 1st gens laying frame.
