I'm waiting on my ARE shell to be delivered and planning in-bed power and lights. I'd like to run power from the battery to a switched panel with 2 x 12V cigarette-style outlets (Similar to this). I also plan on running THESE LED strips for lighting.

I'd like to build in some battery protection so I don't end up with a dead battery if I leave something on or plugged in while camping. There are some expensive controllers out there that have this type of protection built in, but I don't have a need for all the features of a SwitchPro or sPod.

Has anyone used something like below? LINK
It's $15, programmable for voltage protection values, lets you know when it's in a protection mode.
