4 inch lift with leveler.. come Off the showroom floor with it..
    Hello
I have searched every thing I can and have had no luck finding an idea of what the sound coming from the reader end of my 2016 4x4 tundra could be.

I have the carrier bearing and all the ujoint replaced about 3 weeks ago. The sound started after that.

When I punch it to take off from a stop it has a very loud sound that sounds like something is slipping or spinning until it catches. The rearmed doesn’t seem to be slipping because even as it’s making this clicking/grinding noise the truck is still moving. It only makes it for a few seconds and then it stops. If I take of from a stop slowly, I won’t do it. It only does it when I need it to go and put some York on it. I just find it weird that it didn’t do it until after I had the carrier baring and the ujoint replaced.

I’m not 100% sure it’s coming from the rear end.. but it does sound like it’s coming from the rear right.

anyone have any idea what it could be? I appreciate any suggestions and help because I’m beyond frustrated.

Without getting under and looking for anything loose or not properly installed, I'd assume it has to do with the u-joints needing grease...why did you need to replace those driveline parts?

I'd take it back to your mechanic and make them repair the "fix" they sold you...sorry for the frustrations...

I had them replaced because the ujoint started squeaking.. and when they fixed them there were 2 bad ones... thanks for the response...

I'd make sure everything is torqued to spec as well. You could have play in the connections and that could cause grinding.

It seems the Ujoints were not aligned correctly when new ujoints installed. Have not been under a 4x4 but since you have a hanger bearing there should be a slip joint that is splined to allow movement.
