    Noober question.

Running a 305 width tire on a 8” rim causes issues of “losing the bead” to my limited understanding. Is this only true when airing the tires way down to “craaaaaawwwwl” rocks or would I expect problems at normal psi / driving conditions (hwy & farm / hunting trails)?

I think recommended width for 305 is a 8.5” wheel.

I ran a 315/75r16 back on my old f350 stockers (16 x 7.5) for a long time with no issues until someone gave me some 16x10 wheels just for fun

    It doesn’t matter what tires.
If you air down a lot you can roll the tire off the bead. This is why true crawlers use real bead locks. These rims actually bolt the tire bead between a steel ring and the rim. If you stay aired up you should not have any problems
