My 2017 Tundra limited (5.7 , 41890 miles. Supercharger installed with 17,689 on the block.)with a Magnuson supercharger, I am slowly losing coolant with hardly anything left in the reserve bottle. I did a pressure test but could not find the leak source. I took the truck into my dealer, they think it is leaking under the supercharger in the block they will have to remove the supercharger to investigate more. This will occur next Tuesday! Has anyone with Magnuson style supercharger experienced loss of coolant?where was the leak? How did it occur? Any thoughts would be appreciated?

I have the TRD Magnusson SC and have never experienced this. Hopefully someone else will chime in. Be nice to know what is causing this for future reference.

It is possible leaking through the head, and then you'll either get white smoke in your exhaust or your oil will look like milkshake depending on whether it's leaking into the cylinder or water jacket. Also, you can get a leakdown tester and check each cylinder for leakdown. Another place can leak is in the radiator on the seam between the core and the top plastic tank. You can try to check them. Good luck.

I had one of the coolant hoses that feeds the supercharger cooling reservoir develop a leak at the hose clamp area. It was a pin-hole kind of thing that only leaked when at temp and the only clue was coolant residue on top of the head/intake runner.

To be clear, when you say "reserve bottle" what do you mean? Do you mean the SC cooling reservoir coolant bottle on top of the engine that is dedicated to the SC? Or are you talking about the clear plastic reservoir that feeds the radiator?

    This is a critical distinction.
