For some reason it’s a dirty word around here, but I just started an upgrade in steps, from *********.
I am about to install their 5 channel amp and their 12” rear sub package, using their plug and play harnesses.
Next step after this is installed will be all door speakers along with Dynamat.
So far my experience has been good. Everything arrived as planned, the shipment was complete and the instructional videos are helpful.
Once it’s in I’ll write an overview and let folks know How the system sounds.

Talk to James at @Tech12volts. He'll hook you up with good product at a good price.

I’ve got my kit from James @ tech12volts mocked up in the basement. Will be my first stereo install. I’ll let you know how easy he made it tomorrow afternoon.....looks manageable. Glad I played around with crimping the amp power wire ends ahead of time. I didn’t know how to crimp wires and they didn’t include any extras. One trip to the hardware store already in the books and I haven’t touched my truck.

I also got my system from James at Tech12volts. He can get you squared away from mild to wild, depending on your budget. Also he builds his sub boxes here in the USA, not a China factory.
Best way is to email him at tech12volt@gmail.com
Let him know what year you truck is and if you have factory JBL or not. I had a couple dozen emails back and forth with him before ordering.

I got my amp from crutchfield and the LC7i from eBay, both new in box, reduced price over retail. Also got James JL dash tweeters all hooked up to factory head unit.

Will be adding 6.5 JL door speakers from James this summer.

Yep, even a monkey can install one of James’ plug and play kits. Jus proved it. Money well spent! Took a little over 5 hours with a trip to the hardware store. Decided to anchor the amp rack with a pair of 10mm bolts rather than the included screws. Have some droning in my ears from rocking out in my truck for over an hour, savoring victory.

It’s a slightly modified version of the infinity group buy. Jl door speakers, coaxial in the rear for added simplicity.
