i have a 2008 DC 5.7l 4x4 with 180k. My issue is this. The steering feels a bit floaty. When I put the brakes on the left front wheel feels like it can move forward even at a stop. I’m not sure if it could be the wheel bearing, a control arm bushing, ball joint or what. I’m not very good at explaining this situation.

It is like there is play but there isn’t. I jacked up the front and tried to move the tire vertical from underneath. It did not move. I had this same thing happen on an old yota pu and it was the lower control arm. Not sure on this Tundra. Does anybody have any ideas? Also I checked the cvs and they appear to be dry, uncracked and fine. I have the pro comp upper arms with the uni ball. I haven’t had the truck off-road for quite a while but the roads in SC are horrendous. The tires only have about 1,000 miles on them. I have bilstein struts. They are at the highest and are the 6200s I believe. Thanks
