Another truck came into my lane on a slightly narrow two lane bridge and our mirrors collided. My mirror glass is shattered and the chrome cap on back of the mirror structure came off. I was thinking that instead of replacing the entire mirror assembly that I could replace the glass, then get a black cap and another black cap for my passenger side. The back caps for the structure I can find easily.

I'm finding glass, but I need one that has the BSM indicator and heat. I'm also not sure if I need the backing for the glass. I'm guessing that I probably do, and I see it mentioned in some of the ads.

Anyone know where I can get the glass or glass and backing? I see a lot of aftermarket whole mirrors and things like that, but I'm not having a lot of luck getting something with both the BSM light and heat.

Also if anyone has done this and has any other info I may be missing or need, I would appreciate the input.

must be the week for mirrors. I damaged the passenger side mirror on my 19 limited. I would appreciate info on how to remove the mirror assembly from the door.

What trim? Just BSM and heat? You’re probably best off hitting a sight like parts.toyota.com and entering in your info and working through the diagrams to find the glass specific to your trim level and/or VIN

It's a CM limited. It doesn't do anything beyond that does it? Maybe lane departure is on there too? I don't recall now, but thanks for asking. I do know it doesn't have the turn signal thingy.

I didn't realize I could get into that much parts detail. I'm just trying to avoid spending 400 bucks on the thing, and I've wanted to get rid of the chrome since like...day 1. There's just sooooo many options out there. Good lord.

I bought a mirror off ebay and swapped the cap. Was pretty simple.

I’ve had a broken passenger side mirror in my garage for a few years now. If someone could use it, PM me & it’s yours for the cost of shipping.

It’s off my ‘16 Limited. Has BSM and heated. Chrome cap. No turn signal. Not power-folding.

Backing up on a tight trail a couple years ago, it got caught on a sapling tree & got hyperextended. Mirror & wiring is fine - Just the housing is cracked.
