I have been looking all over and know there must be people that have done this- I am looking for picture of the grille insert painted, but the bulge and surround still chrome. My truck below so you know what I am working with.front w grille.jpg

    Hopefully someone chimes in.

In the meantime, try an online photo editor.ornyour phones pic editor. I do it with my rims all the time and blacking out bumper ends etc

It doesn't look perfect, but you can get a good sense of what it will look like.

I did the opposite. Sprayed my surround/bulge and kept my insert.

Here's a halfass job done with my crappy Pixel editor

That's actually a great idea I've never thought of, looking to do a chrome delete so I am definitely going to try this! :D

Cool, that actually looks pretty good so is something to strongly consider.

I've bronzed my wheels, blacked my wheels, blacked out grille and running boards and it hasn't cost me a dime. :p

That is exactly what I am trying to go for with the '17 pro insert. I can't tell, but is your bulge and surround black? Or is it color matched?

    Color matched MGM.
I pulled the TOYOTA letters off the Pro grille and had them painted to match as well.
It's odd in the pics it looks a different color on the hood but it is just the light angles..
The left end of this pic you can tell it matches.

Beautiful, I have MGM as well and looking at your pics, I have decided that I am going to color match as well. I thought about doing an all black front, but the color match looks great.
