Hi- I have a 2018 Tundra and I love it! Need a bed cover and don't want to spend a fortune!

I am not at all familiar with how the bedcovers work. The dealership gave me numbers like $1200-1900 for a cover. Can anyone help a girl out with some info?

    Thanks from Texas! xoxo

BAK MX4 is decent. Some leak, some don't, just like everything else in life. That's the one I have. Minor leaks for me.

I have the Bak MX4 and I've not had any issues. No leaks or anything

What part of Texas? I am near Houston/Galveston and went with undercover hard top and it is virtually waterproof for the amount of rain I see. Takes 2 to take it off and hang on wall due to size not weight. Match painted too so it looks nice. There are times I wish I had a backflip or roll unit but I like knowing my stuff stays dry on those random waterfall days, no dribbles

Not cheap, but you will never regret Diamondback.

Seals up watertight (even in Oregon), converts your bed to an impenetrable vault, and with the SE, you can strap 400# up there. Or invite several people to dance.

Upgrading to the HD, you can park atv's or load 1200+ pounds I think.

Installs and is removable in about 15 minutes once you've done it once or twice.

Getting a crossbin gives you easy access to straps, chains, firearms, water... whatever you want to stow within easy reach.

Really depends on what you want out of your cover.

What are you actually wanting out of a bed cover? Easy open and close, extremely secure, are you putting load on top? Will it be open or closed most of the time? Do you want it removable? Are you wanting to have a bed rack on top of it?

I had a bakflip tri-fold that worked well but I hated not being able to see out my back window when I had it fully open when hauling larger items. Went to a Retrax and I like it more plus it allows me to add a rack on top of it. Yes the canister takes up space but for my use that is less of an issue since I gain sight out the rear window.

Agree with @RobertD ^^^ Think about your usage and needs and that will help you decide which style is best for you... Tri-fold, retractable, roll-up, etc.

I didn't want to give up space to the canister of a retractable since I have a crewmax, and didn't want a roll-up.

I decided a tri-fold suited my needs and lifestyle the best. Went with the Bakflip MX4 and super happy with it so far.

I rarely need the full bed,if I do I'll just take it off (2 knobs, 5 minutes) I didn't care for having my back window blocked either. I don't mind driving with mirrors, but I don't like not being able to see my load to know if things are shifting or loosening.

I needed to run racks for my surfboards and SUPS, so I installed Elevate T-slot rails and racks.

Very happy with the set up and how it all turned out. Full Bedrug underneath, added a 12V/USB receptacle and some LED strips, and I'm good to go!

I had the mx4 on an f150 and loved it. My only complaints where it was easier to burn yourself in hot weather and the aluminum panels can be dented. I had the Toyota brand one on my tundra but it leaked. I bought a bakflip f1 for my GMC and it should be here Wednesday.
