Hi Guys, I am looking for a thick bed mat to lay down in the truck. I do have line x premium but I still want to add something on top. I see toyota makes a nice one but online pictures i can't tell if thick etc.
weather tech also has something but looks thin.

I have the factory one and its pretty heavy duty IMO, it also has dimples on the underside to allow water to drain.

Yeah I am a fan of the factory one. Mine has been in the bed and exposed to the elements for years with no issues.

    Another Bedrug fan..
Your knees will thank you for it.
Looks like they have more options than when I bought mine.

BedRug Bed Liners & Mats | Bedrug

I had a full rug in my 2005 DC.

    Bedrug4_2ba35858a58bbe75de78319bc6daf9e91ee46364.jpg

I have the bed floor and tailgate mat in my spray-in liner 2014 DC.
    Easily removed if needed.

People seem to love their bedrugs. I’ve never had one. Being in Oregon, I can only imagine the rug holding moisture in this wet climate. I have the Toyota rubber mat, and can vouch that it is heavy, thick, and it’s underside is heavily dimpled to promote drainage. It’s great on the knees, too. I estimate it is a half inch thick. I’ll take a picture and we’ll see.

Also, I just pull the mat out like a big heavy taco, mist it with Simple Green, scrub it, rinse it and throw it back in. Seems like that would be harder with the rug.

Farm and ranch supply stall mat. 3/4" solid HD rubber. I use a 4X6, fits great because I have the trail boxes. Go camping, pull it out and use it for a tent base or trailer welcome mat. No regrets!

I love the idea of carpet and would buy that if I was not in Canada . I can just see that carpet holding water and freezing in the winter and lets not forget road salt?

I was able to snag a Toyota OEM one on Amazon for around 80 bucks and change. Very heavy duty and it's been great so far.

What are you going to haul in it? I got the OEM mat and it's awesome, but I use mine to haul rocks/wood/pipe/dirt-bikes/etc. The OEM mat is plenty thick enough especially with Line-x already down (like mine).

The bedrug stuff would probably be better if you're hauling clean/soft things like some furniture or dogs.

This is what I have. I bought it for like $25 in October 2004... almost 17 years in my F150 and beat the crap out of it. After a pressure washing I put it in the Toyota, and it is perfect. I did have to cut 6" off to fit the short box, but that was no big deal.

Yeah, lifetime product pretty much, no need to cut really, that little bit just folds with the tailgate, but I do have a stainless tailgate plate so the repeated rubbing isn't concerning.
