I went with low profile ditch light brackets from Rago Fabrications. You can also find them from sdhq and caliraised.

SDHQ are much more sturdy than the Rago

Is that scientific? My rago's have never so much as vibrated, flexed, bent, shook.....

Maybe the SDHQ are fine. But I don't think they're significantly better.

I had the Rago and sold them to buy the SDHQ.

To add: there is more to it than just the usual "argument". What lights/size you run makes a deal of impact as well in regards to weight.

I think that these extensions are just powder coated flat metal - no reason that they would not work. The bolts that come me with the BD lights are long enough to go through the bracket and the extension.
