    Hi All,

I have been searching the market in AZ, CA and NV for a quality "rust-free" 05/06 4x4 for the last 6 weeks. But, I haven't had to much luck. I'd like to nail down the purhcase of a first gen 05/06 by the end of the month somewhere in the southwest preferably. I have noticed lots of trucks out here are coming in from Northeast and Midwest with insane frame rot. People are painting these and trying to sell it off as no problem (this should be illegal) but anyway, I don't really care about the package considering I'll be making major modifications and building out an overlanding rig w/ a Go Fast Camper.

I'd be willing to travel if someone knows of a good truck please let me know!

    In general I'm looking at:
    05/06 Double Cab
    4x4
    Miles under 150k (if possible)
Max price $15k, prefer closer to $10k but depends on the truck. Prefer financing, but can do cash.

    Thanks All!

I'd say just stay patient, took me about two months to find a good one private sale. Keep an eye on FB if you aren't already.

    Hi All,

Thanks for the great replies. I just found my first gen and bought it yesterday.

    2006 Toyota Tundra
    Double Cab
    4x4
    109k mileage

It's going to be a great platform to build out my overland vehicle. I'm closing down this thread and have opened up a build thread. Check it out!
