I can appreciate that. And that's some nice mileage you're getting there.

30.0 mpgs coming down from Pikes peak! Trip average was 18.9 after that for another 80 miles back to Denver, not bad.

LOL the only way you're going to get 30mpg out of a Tundra is to push it out of an airplane at 30,000 ft.

This happened due to being locked down in 1st and 2nd(35 to 45 mph tops), no brakes mostly, and no gas pedal what so ever. Rolling down the mountain with the engine running at idle speed, for 17 miles. I bet this will happen again. It seems business will be taking back to pikes peak often!

I stopped a few times going up and did not check the numbers the entire way, but I do remember the steepest 4 mile stretch going up was 8.7 mpg! Maybe 100 pounds in the bed, tops. That made the 30 mpg coming down really needed to balance the trip total MPG. Which was about 18.9, for about 200 miles or so round trip. I started using 91 octane premium lately, and I seem to get about 1 or 2 miles per gallon more than with the 85 octane sold around here, so I feel that helped. Speeds going down and back to Colorado Springs from Denver were anywhere from 45 to 75 mph for most of it. Overall, I am pleased.

None....yet few decals and a five star dragon Ball. Lift 4.5" in two years is the plan
If you put my tundra on a trailer and hauled it down the road it wouldn't get that kind of mileage

I did not do an average for just that part unfortunately, just the whole trip, with the money shot being the part from Catamount reservoirs to the I-25.

This is exactly what I was going to ask sarcastically if you were driving down Pikes Peak! :)

That is Catamount reservoir, the south one! Was a blizzard 2 hours before that...
