Back in October 2022, I traded my trouble-free 2018 Silverado (believe it or not!) for a used 2020 SR5 Double Cab 4WD. After four months of ownership, I quickly realized there are aspects of the Chevy I miss...a lot. But, I knew that in time, the drivetrain issues (e.g. those miserable AFM lifters, valve spring issues, etc.) plus AC condenser misery would not be fun. Combine that with the fact our local family-owned Chevy dealer was recently sold by the owner when he retired and some big conglomerate with "big city" mentality bought it...it was more than I could bear. I know that there is the perceived and actual long-term reliability associated with the 5.7 Tundras and that's what drew me to them. I knew I'd be losing a little fuel mileage and it didn't ride as nice as the Chevy and I was okay with it. The only issue it has is a habitual right pull. Since being put in service June 2020 to today, CARFAX showed four front-end alignments or suspension inspections. I had the selling dealer do an alignment and it still pulled. That dealer in PA then paid for an alignment to be performed at my closest Toyota dealer here in western Maryland....it still pulls some to the right. Fortunately, through a mutual hunting friend, I have come to know a good tech and overall good guy at that dealer that wants the truck back to deal with the issue. He agreed with me when I said despite what the alignment specs show, ya might have to "think outside the box" to get the truck to track true on the road. Other than that, I might add a leather-covered steering wheel for those cold Winter days. Being in my mid-50s I'm not overly concerned about a lot of mods to it!

alignment is only as good as the tech doing it. Many places just set the toe and send you on your way. It could also be a radial pull from one of the tires. Ensure air pressure is right, one side being lower than the other can induce pull as well.

I would find a front end shop, dealers and box shops are not places you want to go for accurate alignments or wheel balance and Tundras are very sensitive to both.

Thanks Frank for the input. The truck pulled with the new highway tread tires that were on it when I test drove it. Part of the deal was my all-terrain tires would be installed on the Tundra for delivery. It ended up pulling with both sets of tires. Admittedly it was a little better after my "local" dealer aligned it. I've talked at length with the guy at the dealer. We both agreed that "stuff" set to the middle of the spec range doesn't always mean a truck that tracks true. That's why we talked about "out of the box" thinking is required.
