Hey guys. I have a 2006 Long Travel Tundra where the steering has been giving me issues. In the morning when i turn it on i really have to force my steering wheel left and right to loosen it up. It's NOT the anti theft lock these trucks have. I took it to my buddy whos a toyota mechanic and he states it could be the steering shafts that connect the steering column to the rack and pinion. I uploaded a pic of the part number below. The issue is that toyota doesnt manufacture them. Has anyone had this issue that could direct me to a spot where i can order them aftermarket? We are replacing the Rack and Pinion as well. I attached a few photos of my truck. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

This only happens when you first start it? Then goes away? That seems odd to be a mechanical linkage. Have you checked the fluid or replaced in awhile? Do you have clevis's to the rack? What LT kit is it? Stock tie rods?

fluid is good and wasnt missing any. Its a mechanical linkage for sure. My mechanic said its the steering shafts for that year truck but i checked a few spots online and they dont have them, only for the double cab. It only happened when i first started the truck. after a few minutes and the oil gets warm it goes away.
I have the BTF Long Travel Kit on it. As for the tie rods, we used an extender on the stock stuff.

Why would the mechanical linkage be the issue if it goes away when it warms up?

Have you checked the vacuum assist valve? Any smoke on startup? Serpentine belt in good shape? Rack leaking?
