    Hello Tundras.com!

I’m a LONG time Toyota guy and also have a TacomaWorld account with the same username.

I have a 2022 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 I bought 6 months ago after selling a 2nd Gen Raptor.

Today I picked up this 2005 Tundra double cab 4wd.

I owned a V8 swapped T100 prerunner previously and kind of can’t help building another one.

Pretty cool that you’re gonna start with an 18 year old truck and make it your own. Excited to see your progress

Thanks. I bought the new Tacoma planning on building it, but decided it was too nice. I think I’ll keep it though.

Plan for the Tundra is long travel.

Probably a Solo Motorsports kit up front, Deavers and triple bypasses in the rear. Bumpers, Hannaman fiberglass fenders, Method wheels, PRP seats.

Essentially the same build as my T100, but with four doors and four wheel drive.

I understood method wheels, and the rest of that was Portuguese to me. I’m a fan of long travel builds, but I’m not a truck doctor who is all smart like you people and “knows things about trucks”. I’ll be rooting for ya though!

Very nice Tundra! How much did it cost and milage? It's the exact truck my daughter is looking for, she has a 2000 Tundra access cab 4x4 and selling it to get a 2004, 2005 or 2006 double cab 4X4 for baby seats in the rear and loves her Tundra.

148k miles, $14, which many folks will maybe baulk at, but vehicle condition and geographic location plays into that.

Owner was a cool fireman with a young family and needed a bigger truck to tow a new boat. He intended to keep the truck forever and it appears cared for. Receipts for new fox front shocks, timing belt, thermostat, etc in last thousand miles. Was 2 miles from my home.

Update, and not sure where plans go from here, but I did not finalize the sale of the 2005 Tundra.
Long story and some personal health issues.
