After reading posts for a while, I thought I would try to get some advice.

Just recently bought the ToyTec Suspension system for my Tundra needed an upgrade over my Bilstein adjustables that didn’t break the bank. Felt like I got more bang for my buck upgrading to the 700lb spring and going with the added leaf for the rear, almost forgot to mention the SPC UCA. Compared to some other suspension systems.

Has any one attempted to put on a set of 285/70/18 Ridge Grapplers on after the lift system with out cutting fenders? Do I need spacers?

    I’m installing lift tomorrow.

I’m sure this is not the first time this had been asked but can’t find anything about this subject on the forum.

    Any advice would be great.

    Welcome from SoCal sir :hattip:
I’m running the same size toyo MTs on Pro suspension. I don’t think you should have any issues. Could depend on if your running stock wheels or aftermarket.

Edit: you have a first gen. Maybe a 1st gen member can chime in.

You will need a body mount chop(bmc) and a lot of trimming. My plans are for 285/75r17’s(34x11) and I already know I will need to trim and cut a ton to stuff them without contact. I ran this size on my 4runner with 4” lift and still had to trim and cut a lot. I’ll only be running 2-2.5” on the tundra.

    285/70/18 is almost a 34x11.25
The answer depends on wheel backspacing. If you are at 4" backspace you'll not have to trim much, just the very corner of your front bumper and a bit of plastic near the pinch weld and see where that gets you. If you find that you are hitting body in front of the door you may need to hammer the punch weld area inward to flatten it. This isn't an extensive procedure at all.

If you have more than 4", like 4.5", you'll hit frame at full lock but it wont be too bad. Not sure if you'll hit the upper arm l, I dont have experience with SPC arms. If you are running stock wheels you may need spacers to clear the upper arm, I know this would be the case with stock upper arms but not sure with SPC arms.

If you have less than 4", like 3.5", you will avoid frame but will likely hit that pinch weld area previously mentioned.

Welcome to the forum, good model of the truck. Post pics when you can.

Thanks for the reply’s and the salutations. Didn’t think I would have to do so many mod’s for that tire size even for a few inches. Especially if I’m already running 285/65/18 with aftermarket rims on basically bilstien adjustables with no issues. I’ll try to post before and after soon.

Do you have a winch and/or aftermarket front bumper? I hear the the 700lb coils can be rough if you don't. But I've also heard they're fine on a DC. I have an AC and would like to lift it in the next month or two, but won't be able to afford a winch and bumper for a while and was thinking about buying the 700lb coils instead of the 650 so I don't have to pull it apart to upgrade later. Let us know how it turns out! :)

No wench or aftermarket bumper yet. Possibly bumper for front end in the near future. And yes my baby is a DC, after reading the reviews and suggestions I went that route. Definitely will post pics upon completion.
