I bought a bullydog for my 16 tundra in late 2019. I played around with it for a good while swapping between premium, tow, and economy just seeing what they did.
Sometime in 2020 I made a custom "tune" with performance pedal and shift points to run on regular fuel. I haven't touched it since.
When I first got it, I got between 14-15mpg on 305/55r20s.
I ran those for about 6 more months before needing tires. In that time my mpg crept up to 15.5-16. I chocked it up to the tires being worn down causing less rolling resistance.

Swapped to 295/60r20's that are 10lbs per tire heavier.

Mpg stayed roughly the same with the swap. As time has gone on, my mpg has slowly crept up.
Last week, I had to take a trip from TN to Vermont for work. It was nearly a 2000 mile round trip 99.5% interstate.

My average mpg for the trip correcting for the 5% difference in odo and GPS was 17.46mpg. The tank I ran through Virginia up 81 where I stayed on the posted speed limit because Virginia cops are insane, I got 18.4 mph.

There's no way on this planet, with a lift and 34" E rated tires, and a couple hundred pounds of gear in the bed I should be getting this mileage.

So, has anybody had a bullydog tune they've thrown on their truck and just left it long term with no changes like I have that's noticed their mpg start creeping up?

That's the only thing I can really figure is helping but I have no clue as to why it would. I'm certainly not mad about it but I certainly am curious.

Can you please tell me what version BD software you are on?

My 08 has a strange issue, I have a flat/dead spot between 2/3 shifts when floored.
While taking off I can punch it, it has a rev hang almost stall between the 2/3 shift, it catches itself then pulls all the way up. I’ve tried to update my tuner to the latest firmware.
    2008 2wd crew;
    Stock tune
    Stock trans shift points
    No limiter
    89 no corn fuel
    TRD intake
    TRD exhaust
TRD wheels with Michellen tires, oem

Can’t best 14.5, 2014 trucks get better fuel mileage over 2nd gens overall.

    Not to hijack...
I have the same issue shifting except when I go WOT it hangs then catches or if I let off it will kick in . I am not running the BD. I believe it is an ECU issue.
Wish my mileage was in the 14's !
