Hi there, I was kind of looking at camper shells, but I wanted one I could use for camping. Being up here in my end of Canada, we have a problem with bears, cougars and other large, fanged thingies. I want one that I can open the latch from the inside, at least that way I have time to at least grab my shotgun when Yogi comes sniffing. Is that a thing?? TIA

I can access the latches on my A.R.E. MX from the inside. That goes for both the rear door and the windoors.
I cannot lock it from the inside, though.

I use vice grips to clamp the bar from the inside to keep people honest. Any bear worth his salt can pop a topper off with one fingernail, hopefully just enough time for you to wake up and grab your double barreled shotgun.
