    Hi all,

2024 Tundra Pro here and I'm looking at the Retrax retractable bed cover based on positive reviews and build quality. Will consider our high end covers since my knowledge is limited.

The question I have is that I need to load 1 motorcycle (track bike Yamaha R1) into the bed. With a wheel chock put against the front of the bed wall and the front tire, is the case/retractable part of the bed cover going to get in the way and bang into the front wheel? From some random pics I saw, the casing looks pretty hefty, taking up a good 6 inches of space up front and hangs pretty low.

Any insights from fellow track or motorcycle guys that have a retractable setup would be appreciated.

I rather not do a trifold, but if that's the only option that at least i've exhausted this retractable bed cover idea. It does need to be hard (not soft) regardless what options I end up with. Thanks.

It will be in the way

Have you looked at the BAK Revolver X4s? It rolls up on top and is considered a hard cover.

DRP, I'll check out the Bak revolver. Thanks for steering me into a different direction. Hmm, it doesn't offer a locking mechanism, that would be my only road block cause I live in a dense city full of petty thieves.

Thanks for the quick reply ColoradoTJ, appreciate the simple and quick answer so can rule this out right away.

FYI, anything from BAK is garbage.

I used to just tow mine. It was such a PITA to get my sport bike out of a truck (and dangerous). Even a low Tacoma was not fun. Couldn't imagine a newer taller truck.

Yah, saw some mixed reviews for BAK, seems like hit and miss.

I already tow a trailer actually to track, but on occasion I need to trailer and also put a bike on the back. Towing 3-4 Bikes in some cases, and the option of the cab is always handy for overflow. 1st world problems. lol

A retractable cover is a great option depending on the size of your bike. Standard canister sizes are about 11" wide x 11" deep, and can take up valuable bed space. However, you have the advantage of impressive security for your stored cargo with a retractable cover. The Bak Revolver X4s Hard Roll Up Tonneau Cover could be the solution to saving bed space and providing security. It rolls up on top of the bed rather than into a canister so you don't have to sacrifice bed space and it sits about 9"-10" tall when fully rolled up, so you're not losing visibility in your rear window either. It features patented rotational locking rails that keep the cover secured along the sides of the bed, and your cargo protected from prying eyes!
