I think the ten thousand first oil change is way...way to long... my new TRD Pro very near 5000 mile maintenance...so I made the appointment and asked if they could change the oil..they would but I would have to pay, not 10,000 miles yet I was told..they owe you two so whats the difference ...5 or 10 thousand..I vented a little didn't matter !

My local dealer did the first free one at 5000, and just did the second free one at 10,000 last week. All I had to do was ask.
Bought it last December, so both done within a year.

Just tell them to follow the extreme service interval, or whatever it says there in the manual. Stop and go, towing.

I did report the dealer..I called Toyota direct and got the same bull, no oil change till 10,000.. I Vented big and have a case number..waste of time really, went elsewhere and got my oil changed. I didn't purchase the truck there and service adviser wasn't very helpful so I just cancelled.
