Howdy All. I have been following the audio forum and have finally decided to upgrade the speakers and install an amp that I've had for a while. 2018 Tundra Crew Max non JBL.

I bought a DS18 line level converter and installed at the vehicle amp connecting to the power, accessory, and ground. When I turn on the vehicle all powers up as it is supposed to. I even tested with a subwoofer and the speaker connections seem to be correct.

However when I turn the key off, the adapter AND the radio stay on. I can turn the key back on and off and nothing changes. The radio doesn't turn off until I disconnect the ground wire on the line level adapter. My amp and the radio turn off and on if the adapter is not connected.

I seem to recall reading this being an issue with another install, so I thought I'd check here first. Does this sound like an adapter issue? Or am I wiring incorrectly?

    Thanks to all in advance.

A little more info. I disconnected the speaker leads and the power turns off and on correctly. So there is apparently an issue connecting into the speaker lines coming from the head unit.

You need to get your remote signal from the front door speakers. Only the front door speakers will work properly; why? I don’t know but that’s how it likes it cause I connected to the rear door speakers and it sounded like crap. Also once you’re connected the amp won’t turn off instantly. You have to wait a few minutes for the door speakers to lose their power before the LOC will power off.
