Limited wrapped steering wheel

The leather wheel on my limited DC is ripped from previous owner, can i cut the stitching on this and take it off and have just a regular wheel under this cover ?

 

Anyone ?

 

I'd just wrap new stuff over it... the limited wheels are less real leather than you want them to be...I have the same thing going on...

 

Swap it with a Tacoma wheel and call it good

 

Are the tacoma wheels better then the tundra wheels, i thought they were exact same whats the benefit of a tacoma wheel over another tundra wheel

they tend to be much cheaper than a tundra wheel as they are way more common as the majority of the 16+ Tacomas have leather wrapped wheels vs tundras which didnt have the option on sr and sr5. I put one on my truck from a wrecked 23 tacoma and love it.
