Hey all, good morning! For those who’ve “ordered” trucks recently, specifically Limited TRD trucks, which wheels are they showing up with; the black 18’s or the black/chrome 18’s? I prefer the 20’s that come with the TRD Sport package but mine is a TRD OR and therefore is allocated to have the “18-in Split 5 Spoke Alloy Wheels”. I’ve seen trucks come with both recently so I’m curious.

The first picture is the BBS Forged Pro wheels. If I had a choice that what I would get over the second picture. My truck came with the previous Pro rims. Not forged and gloss black.

The first pic is the TRD PRO wheels. You won't get those on a TRD Off Road unless you added them as an option.

Welcome aboard! All the TRD Offroad equipped Tundras will come with the bottom wheel. However keep in mind in the bottom picture the center cap shown is NOT what comes factory with that particular wheel.

Edit: here is what the stock center cap will look like.E455C34D-2391-430B-AE70-B4EBDA7BCF0D.jpg

I thought there were 2 types of those wheels… the Pro’s have the BBS wheels with the BBS stamps ON the wheels, then the TRDOR wheels looked similar but without the stamps and are $200 cheaper. Did I make that up in my head?

No kidding huh? I’m guessing that’s an optional center cap then?

Not an option when ordering per se. The cap comes on another model, the PRO I believe but don’t hold me to that. All I know is that they fit perfectly and adds a bit of character IMHO.

The BBS are forged, that’s why they cost more the other ones are regular wheels, cheaper. Also the BBS are lighter which helps when you install heavier tires. They make an identical wheel which is still made made by BBS and is forged but doesn’t have the white lettering. Around the same price. The other wheel looks similar but it’s just a regular run of the mill wheel.

Yup, you made that up in your head. The old TRD Pro wheels didn't have BBS stamped on the wheels - you may be thinking of those ones.

Do you know if those TRD center caps will fit on the 20" wheels that come on the TRD Sport?
