    New to the forum today.
I'm getting ready to buy a new Tundra. I currently run a 2015 Ford F-150 super crew lariat 4wd with the 5.0 V8. I'm going to go with a 4wd Crew max. Jut can't decide between the Limited TRD off road or the Platinum. Lots of what I've read say that the seats alone in the Platinum make it work the extra cash. The only thing possibly holding me back is I really want the TRD off road pkg, as I will be putting a plow on the truck. 7'6" BOSS V-plow is what I've settled on. If they offered the TRD off road pkg in the Platinum, it would probably be a no brainer.
Any suggestions one way or the other from current and or previous owners would be much appreciated.

I would def ditch the 20" wheels for 18" like the TRD off road offers. I do also like the painted bumpers etc.. which make me lean more towards the Plat vs the limited!

I own a limited. De-chromed everything I can exterior and want to do interior. I like the sunroof and heated seats, but those can be had aftermarket. Wish I had black interior

Love my Platinum. Figured it was easier to do mods to the exterior than interior.

If I had a choice it would be Platinum. You can always put an aftermarket skid plate underneath.

If the money difference isn't an issue then definitely get a Platinum. I had a limited and hated the seats, plus I hated letting my wife drive since there are no memory seats. As others have said, just get different wheels and you're good to go!

Welcome. I also came over from driving Fords. I have a Limited Off-Road. It would be much easier to add OR items to a Platinum then adding Platinum features to a Limited. The Platinum is much closer to your Lariat Ford also.

Looks great. I have the same one so i’m bias. I’m in the south and black on black interior seems like it would be hotter in the summer months but maybe not

I have black on black and it definitely gets hot, but I like the way it looks.
    Platinum would be my choice.

Go with platinum for more luxury. The little things you think you don’t need, but sure is nice to have...I got the limited and regret I didn’t go with the platinum few month later.

I went limited because I wanted the Cement color, but would have gone platinum if it were offered on that trim. With the 2018+ it is a PITA to swap grills etc. so I'm sticking with my chrome for now.

Yeah, I do really love the lariat interior. I think the 2 biggest things I'm going to miss is no factory remote start, and no push button start. I def need the remote start living in the cold northeast!

I went with the Platinum. Estetically more pleasing to me. I swapped the stock 20’s for 18’s and blacked out all the chrome. Plus a lot more stuff in the past 6 weeks since I bought it.

I was switching from a top of the line Cadillac and before that a 7 series BMW (I know, QUITE the change) so the luxury features were important to me. I didn’t want to lose too many. It’s still weird having an actual ‘key’. I’ve had a key fob only with push start/remote start for 10 plus years so that part is still difficult to get used to.

I obviously went with Platinum and it is the absolutely cats meow!!!!

A loaded out Limited with all options is $50k MSRP. A Platinum is $50k. Not much difference. What is another $2k with as much as these trucks cost.

3 brand new Fords sitting in the parking lot at work in the past 3 months. All 3 have been back to the dealer more than once for warranty repairs.....

Rolling with the Yota is a very wise decision.

I love my 1794...you can get it with TRD off-road package if you want. Best of both worlds!
