Limited Gulf State Toyota Build

I am loosing my mind. Before I go to a dealer I want to build my truck on the Toyota website so I can print out what I am looking for. My build is very simple. I want a 4x4 crewmax limited with TRD package. But apparently the only package available for limited in the Gulf State region is the JBL package. Is this correct?!?!? Can I really not get a limited with trd down here in the south?!?

That makes no sense because I can put a TRD off road package on SR5 and 1794….I shouldn’t be able to do it on any if they were out of parts

 

Go out of the gulf states region to find your Toyota. GST is trash

 

GST distributor does whatever they want. Example, TSS trim is GST only and not really sanctioned by Toyota. That’s why there’s no TSS trim on the Toyota website.

 

TSS trim is on the Toyota build site if you live in the region and building a SR5

 

TSS is offered in all different packages for SR5 on Toyota website. I get they are pushing trims upgrades but I did upgrade. I went from SR5 to limited because of the additionally features but damn what do they want me to do go even further and get a 1794??? I don’t want the leather seats….so if I want TRD off road they are pushing me to down grade trims since I would have to go with a SR5. Dumb business model…

I am having the same damn problem…my dealer is trying to work it out but so far nothing!

 

Are you also in the gulf state region? I am meeting the dealer Thursday and when I asked on the phone I was told they will work all option out when I get there. Good thing is the dealer I am working with doesn’t mark anything up….grant it they do have the bs port install shit but that is like 1-1.5k so I can deal with that.

Ok that was my second choice if price Leblanc in Baton Rouge didn’t work out. Just a note but price Leblanc has a Limited 4x4 with TRD and panaramic sunroof in lunar Rock on their website (pretty sure it’s sold already)so it looks like it’s possible.

 

I want the Limited w/o the sunroof…I’ve had two different cars/trucks with a sunroof and never opened them…waste of money IMO.

 

No I get it I don’t want a sunroof either. But the truck on that lot according to Toyotas build site is not possible in the GST region but they have it. Not sure if it was a dealer swap

 

Just look at the options, make a list of what you want, compile it in an email, and fire it off to any dealership you are willing to travel to. It's time consuming, because you have to send a bunch of emails (don't want them talking to each other) but that is what Copy + Paste is for. Did this when I was getting a Subie. Hit up dealerships in 4 different states to get the best price. Make them do the work for you.

 

+1 no sun/moon roof for me. Just seems like an extra place that could leak water and extra money for something I never use.

 

Funny thing is you can get a limited trd in every single state outside of the GST region….hell it’s even available in Canada. Will see how this goes Thursday but if they can’t get me a limited in trd….i will be going to another state.

 

I’m in the GST region and wanted an SR5 with dual climate control but am having to request a Limited to get it based on what the dealership is feeding me.
Now I’m down for Limited TRD Off Road.
I’m fine with the Limited but just don’t like all the chrome.

Is the dealership you working with saying they can get you a limited trd off-road AustinTexas?

 

Gulf States Toyota and Southeast Toyota are f*cking d*ckheads. They order the worst configurations for us enthusiasts yet the trucks still sell unfortunately.. i wish didn’t have to go through any distributor at all for my damn truck

 

The salesman only stated he would work on getting it
Could be just a way to string me along a little longer since they have my deposit.
The salesman text that the inventory manager admitted Toyota is jacking around with options to get people to move up trim levels.

 

Well fingers crossed. What I don’t get is the only other trim level available with trd off-road in GST other then SR5 is 1794. People wanting a SR5 are not going to move up 2 trip levels to get TRD off-road added to a 1794…..it’s a huge jump in price and personally I don’t want the leather…Atleast not the colors available in 1794

 

You almost had me with the first sentence. Then I kept reading. Don’t forget the $$$ nitrogen fill tires and stupid technology package that’s about $1300 they force onto the vehicles.

 

I don't want a moonroof either. I'll take it one more step, I don't want softex.

I'm in Texas and when building a Limited on the Toyota website , the Limited edition has very few options.
I changed the zip code to Arizona (85364) and the options I can add are numerous that are not given in Texas.

 

Go to any other region….even southeast and you can do all kinds of crap to the limited…..here in the GST region we get a better sound system option if you go with 5.5 ft bed or panaramic sunroof is you go with 6.5 ft bed….nothing else

 

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe when you type your zip code in on toyotas website it will only allow you to build a truck that is currently allocated in your region. So every time new allocations come out the trucks you can build on the website will change. There was a thread about this when the configurer came out if I remember right.

 

You might be right….now the only colors available are grey and blue….every other color they show out of stock in GST but fully available in every other region….I pretty sure this build thing is a crap shoot.
