Dumb question but oh well, being overly cautious.
What’s a good place to tap in the engine fuse box location
so my lightbar only gets power when I have the ignition or ACC on?

The harness says connect to battery but I don’t want the switch to have constant power.

    None.....yet
Connect the positive terminal to the battery and put the switch on the negative side.

I used high beam so the light bar only comes on when I turn on the high beam.

Run the light bar to the battery through a relay, trigger the relay through a toggle switch off of an accessory source. Fuse both power feeds accordingly, to draw of bar and the relay can be triggered with a fuse 1-2 amp fuse.

    Thank you.
If I understand, with this done when the truck is off the lightbar cannot he turned on?

Depends on what source you use. I run mine through an alternate fuse block.

That’s what I’m getting at. Instead of running the power source directly to the battery then the relay, can I add a circuit in the engine bay fuse box to an existing accessory that’s only hot when the ignition is on

Like an Add-A-Fuse? Don’t see why not.

Yes. Just not sure which fuse to safely add too.

Add fuses run a sep fuse for both accessories so as long as you’re fused correctly for both it shouldn’t matter

Correct, you don’t want to pull the amperage that a light bar can pull through your factory fuseblock. The relay feed comes from the battery with the correct amperage fuse but the your toggle switch with a low amperage fuse would feed the switching side of the relay via an accessory source circuit (like the power port circuit).

Just get a good harness with a fuse integrated like doide dynamics, then, put a aftermarket switch in the cab. It will turn on when the ignition is off but it's not going to drain the battery with it off.

You can use anything for the switch power (coil) side of the relay. The fuse for the cigarette lighters will not come on unless the key is on. I used my highbeam wire. When I turn on my high beams, my light bar comes on.
