Hey guys, I am completely new to lifts I’ve read through numerous threads on lifts and it just gets more and more confusing lol. My question is what lift should I go with truck is a 2018 sr5 4x4? Truck will never probably see off-road except once in a blue moon and I would like to keep towing my trailer 2500ish lbs. Really trying to do it right the first time. I would like this to last a while for me and not break or damage my truck.

I would keep the stock tires for a while since they’re new. I’ve read the 18s have to have a slight rake I would be open to just lifting the front of that is a option

I was looking at the bilstein 6112s is adding shocks in the rear a must or can I just leave the factory rear shocks?

The Eibach kit is great option to consider.

I definitely like the price would control arms be a must or could that wait a bit longer?

UCA's are always a good option to insure proper alignment spec the first time without any issues, we have seen a lot of people get back into factory spec just fine with the factory uppers.

Shoot me a pm anytime if you have any questions!

    Thanks!

when I did my 6112's I used the stock platinum shocks in the rear for 6 months before I switched in 5100's which imo aren't a significant upgrade anyway. if I was just going for lift and didn't spend any time offroad at all I would likely have left the rear shocks alone.

If I was you (which I was), I would go with 6112s, assembled at the 1.9in lift setting. Keep your stock UCAs, keep your stock rear, and see how you like it. Worse case, you change out the rear later with 5100 or 5160s.

Looks perfect with stock size tires, and rides great. Might have a slight dip in the rear depending on the trailer when towing. If so - you could use shackles in the rear to raise it a touch.

*Edit - here is a thread I had started before I purchased anything. I don't want to shamelessly bump it, but its got some good reading in there from other members who took the same route. https://www.tundras.com/threads/ass...l-around-buy-for-the-leveler-in-us-all.18515/

I'm actually going with the Eibach front shocks and their lift coils. Set on the second notch it's a 3 inch lift for my 06 Double Cab. I'll block the rear 1 inch and add their matching rear shocks. Can't beat the price and good reviews.

I was definitely eyeing that kit after it was mentioned earlier in the thread pretty much narrowed my down to the eibach kit or the bilsteins

If you were closer, I’d install for you. That price seems outrageous.

Yeah I laughed my way out of the dealership they said $1400 to install and it would void my warranty while they have a 2018 in the showroom with a 7” lift
