I ended up getting 275 70 R18 tires with stock suspension. Looks great however I did have to trim some plastic. Wasn’t difficult, however I’m looking at a leveling kit. How high would I have to go up to clear those tires? I’m thinking about getting new plastics once the kit is installed.

I have a 3/1 leveling kit installed and clear that size tire on TRD Off Road wheels. What offset are those rims?

I’ll be swapping out to the TRD Pro Fox shocks/coilovers soon. Assume the tires will fit from what I’ve read.

What exactly did you have to trim and when is it rubbing? Full lock? Uphill? Reverse?

The offset is 12. Took her on the mountain the other day and got some dings on the fenders from rocks, so fender flares are on their way. I’m looking at doing a 3/2 kit. Where did you go to get your kit?

They look good! I had the dealer install the kit when I bought the truck. Has served me well for ~3 years, but the ride has gotten harsher in recent months so looking to go to coilovers. Will lose 1” on the front, but I’m looking forward to getting some rake back.

Awesome truck looks good. I’ll probably be looking at that down the road.

It was rubbing turned full right and left going forward and reverse. It was rubbing on the front inside plastics and had a minor rub on the rear part of the plastics. I had to take the front mud flap off and trim out the inside plastics. As far as the plastics behind the front tires I had to trim a small piece. I had to do this on both sides. I don’t have any issues with it now I have full steering without rubbing, but kinda bugs me I had to trim the plastics. I had been told that the tires would clear with a 12 offset on the stock suspension, but when I went to go pick it up after the tires were installed they rubbed. Kind of annoyed but love the look, they offered to go down a size on the tire but just figured I’d get it worked out. now I want to get it done right get the level kit and order new plastics. Plastics are 30 bucks a piece so not bad. It seemed to be a common issue when I you tubed it there were plenty of people trimming the plastics. I think I even saw a segment on Toyota.com regarding trimming. However the rear of the fog lights where the electrical components are are somewhat exposed, from what it looks like towhich may lead to issues if a rock gets in there or a lot of mud…. From what it looks like to me anyway.
