I searched the topic and wasn’t able to locate detail on this (Leveling Kit 2018 Toyota CM 4x4) and am hopeful someone can reply with solid advice. My truck is at the local Toyota dealer and they were going to add a 2” leveling kit. The service advisor called me and said his mechanics told him that if they do this work the Pre Collision Sensor on the front end will be impacted and cannot be recalibrated; if they do the level kit on the front end the sensor and brakes may go off unexpectedly and they recommend against this yet they ordered me the aftermarket parts to put on the truck to begin with. I love the truck but am no mechanic and look to you experts for advice – thank you.

Also you can relocate the sensor lower like on a pro grill.

I would think if anything did happen ‘cross our fingers’ they would be liable to fix it. That’s weird they are saying that. I’ve seen multiple 2018’s at the local dealer w/6 inch lifts installed by them.

Lots of info on here if you search. Makes me go back and forth on my decision everyday when I read through it all.

From what I've gathered, if you lift the front and rear equally as you can, you have the best chance at the TSS still working. But still no guarantees. Lots of people with no issues. But lots of people with issues as well.

2018 with 5100s up front on the middle setting. No issues.

    Function before sparkle.
My dealer absolutely refuses to do any suspension modifications with the exception of airbag on any 2018 + Tundra. They will order parts, sell you parts but won't install them. Apparently Toyota Canada issued some very specific directions with dealership-level consequences for those who do otherwise.

Thank you for the quick replies, you all make valid points and am still not decided to move forward or not with the work at the dealer. I don’t want the PCS going off unexpectedly. For the most part I plan to keep my truck stock but love the leveled look of the Tundra. I thought it would be great to have Toyota do the work but am thinking I may be better off having this done at some other place. Thanks again for your help.

There are many (lots and lots) of lifted and/or leveled trucks (2018+) on this site, and very few, if any, complaints about sensors. My dealer also told me that they could not add the leveling kit to 2018 models. When I asked him he said that's what he heard (i.e. it is based on a rumor that someone started and no one knew for sure if it was going to be a problem) Since then many owners have done it and there are no problems. Some of these dealers just have not received the green light yet.
I asked him, if a 2" leveling is going to mess up the sensor, it means if I load something in the back or hook a trailer that causes the rear to squat 2", the sensors will also not work, because that's the same net effect. He hummed and hahed a little and admitted that it could work.
