I am looking to level the front only. Really do not want to do anything at the rear of the truck

would like to keep a smooth ride if possible. Only time this truck will go off road is 4-5 times a year.

Would like to keep options to less than $1000

    what would you go with?
At what setting on the option recommended?

I recommend Bilstein 6112's set at 1.3 or 1.9. You will most likely have a lean and need to correct that with a shim/spacer; Coachbuilder, and I believe TOYTEC have the shim. I went with 6112s front set at 1.9 driver side/1.3 passenger side (staggered to counter lean/ no shim) and 5160 rear (no lift) - I have .75" rake and it is level to the eye. You will want to get an alignment asap after installing front shocks. I ended going with 17" wheels and noticed a way smoother ride- especially with tire pressure adjustments. Call the shops to verify they are in stock...Good luck.

Maybe another good option that seems tone getting great reviews:

If you keep the lift at 2 inches you should be fine with alignment. It’s when you go over that when you really need a arms

You can add just to the front, yes, but when changing suspension components I'd recommend getting an alignment done afterwards. You'll be changing some of the angles of things, and you'll need to get that adjusted, but then you should be good to go.

OME Nitrocharger/2612 (front), Bilstein 5100s (rear). Vanguard roll bar modified (by me) to fit over Patriot Stealth retractable tonneau. Aftermarket halo headlights with HID, various LED bulb replacements. 17" Fuel Blitz wheels with some 33" Nitto terra grapplers. Hoodscoop, nfab nerfbars, Bushwacker flares. No-name aftermarket grille, led fender extensions. Black Horse bambi-basher. Various offroad lights.
You can just change the fronts and see how it feels. I've got OME front and Bilstein rear, no biggie. Be aware with the OMEs you have to buy the appropriate coils to match (have yet to see a site that mentions that). They come in 3 sizes(the coils) depending on your front end loading. Nice shocks though.
