One more pic of the pinnacles PXL_20240428_014934146.jpg

Took the family out to visit Trona Pinnacles National Landmark last month before it started getting hot. The landscape here was unbelievable. Tundra + OVRLND Camper is turning out to be a great combination and the kids named it "The Razor Crest"

Finally got out for a joy ride. Nothing crazy road-wise, but the first time I've taken it out more than a dozen miles down a dirt road. Was hoping to find the glove I lost my first day out hunting last fall but no luck...

Thanks, me too. I definitely don't mind the matched topper, but especially with an all-white truck, I wanted a little contrast.

Yeah last night was beautiful. Except with where the sun is at right now, driving west into it while it set...I couldn't see a damn thing for probably 20 minutes. Luckily all dirt, 40mph, no other vehicles.

Those look like some epic adventures. That pop up camper life is damn good. How's the truck handle the weight?

Could be, it's a cool area! I like how still and quiet it gets between the walls.

Don't look for that 1st gen though, it's not mine anymore. I went to the dark side.

Cheers! My only regret is not getting one sooner in life! I'd estimate the camper weighs ~900lb fully loaded. Flat roads are a non-issue and the truck stops adequately. Inclines do make the truck hunt for gears sometimes if I'm going at highway speeds though. Not sure if people with 5 speeds fare better with a similar setup.

Modifications on my truck are E load tires, ATS HD leaf springs, and Bilstein 5100s. IMO, the tires and leaf upgrades are a must; I only upgraded the struts since my OE ones had torn bushings.

Yeah the lighting SUCKS in that pic. I’m definitely not a photog. Here’s another pic from 100’ over, i just didn’t like the tour busses. Gap isn’t really that high. Would probably look quite a bit meaner if i tossed on 1” spacers, i just don’t want to hafta wash the truck after every drive to get the roadshit sling off the body. Spent too much time cleaning the paint up to hafta do more regular maintenance on it.

Dude that looks twice as high as my truck, i feel like bottom of my skidplate is 9.5-10" clearance. I like knowing I can jump a 8" curb with ease in emergencies. I know you put a lot of thought into your lift and just wanted to say that looks like great balance between realistic daily and beast. I was able to score a cheap Dobinson lift, they are not as nice as 6112's as far as they feel in your hand. But i look forward to sharing when done. I went w wimpy c30 springs as nobody knows how to lift a rc round yonder.

A throwback. I've been meaning to go back to this same spot in each season to show how different it looks around here.
