Hello, anyone else experienced significant decrease in turning radius after lift installed? I know it’s the steering stop hitting the aluminum near the back of the caliper but was curious if anybody else experienced the same issue. I also realize it’s because the Geometry Of the suspension has changed. Installed a 3.5 inch rough country kit on 2025 sr5. Called rough country and they said they had no notice of this issue occurring to others. Also installed ready lift CV axles. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have the same issue. Probably easiest to cut the aluminum bracket that the lower ball joint is mounted in so the steering stop lands where it was before.

You also went to 35’s and what look like aftermarket wheels with a more aggressive offset, which will increase the turning radius further. It is not uncommon for a lift kit to include steering stops, but typically small lifts like this don’t. It’s usually the increased tire diameter and wheel offset causing the increase.

Most people go with TP981-34310 and TP981-34320 lower knuckles to get the turning radius back

Thank you guys for your response. I noted the lessened turning radius prior to the 35s and new offset wheels being installed so that’s why I concluded it was from the lift itself. I will have to look into the different lower ball joints. I was considering cutting off the excess aluminum as well, but was leery of concerns of over steering issues and where the steering stop would contact.

I thought lifting would increase your turn radius... Meaning bigger, wider turn radius. Am I wrong or are you guys using decrease and meaning increase...? I am looking to lift my truck and I am seriously wondering if I am wrong. My last truck was lifted with 37s and my turn radius increased so much.

sometimes even dropping a truck will increase (Bigger circle) the turning radius. Installing the TRD lift lower knuckles helps bring it back closer to stock (Smaller/tighter circle) radius.

    Stock for now
Changing to the TRD Lower knuckles will bring back your turning radius. Worked perfectly on mine.
